The 2023 club AGM is scheduled on June 22 at 6 p.m. in the community building that also serves as our clubhouse. This is the first club AGM after a hiatus of a couple of years caused by the COVID pandemic. Book the date and time in your calendar. The club AGM is a great opportunity to get insight into the club operations, the duties of our volunteer board members, the club financial situation, and many other areas of interest to members.

The AGM agenda is as follows:

• Introduction of board members
• President's report
• Treasurer's report
• Approval of financial statements for the year that ended on December 31, 2022
• Election of directors (incumbents are re-elected, and new nominations are to be proposed for consideration)
• Other business, as required

The club financial reports will be posted online at the begining of June. If you would like to volunteer and join the club board, please communicate your intention by June 8 by sending an email to info@craighenrytennis.com.

The Monday round robin is on Monday evenings, from 7 to 9 p.m., on courts 1 to 4. You will be playing multiple sets of doubles tennis with different partners. Show up a little before 7 p.m. and sign up with the attendant or volunteer on site. You will be assigned to a court. After each set or 30-minute interval, play stops and players gather on court 1 to be reassigned for the next set. The Monday round robin is a great opportunity to meet players of the same level, especially for new members.

There is also a round robin for beginners on Tuesdays, from 8 to 9 p.m., on courts 1 and 2. We plan to expand the court space if there is enough interest. So come out and play!

The after-school tennis and summer camps for kids and the group lessons for beginner adults are back in 2023 at the Craig Henry Tennis Club! To register, log in to your club account, click Register for Junior Programs or Register for Adult Programs in the Register for Programs, Tournaments & Events section, and then choose one of the available options.

The kids programs are also available for non members, at slightly higher prices. However, a Non-Member account with the club is required. Go to the Become a Member page, and click REGISTER NOW for the Non-Member option. This type of membership is intended for an adult parent to register 1 or multiple juniors for club memberships or programs. After adding the kids to their account, the adult can register them for after-school tennis and/or summer camps.

The club opened on May 5, as mandated by the City of Ottawa. The locks on the gates to the courts were changed on Friday, April 28. If you registered and would like to get your key and 2023 shoe tags, please come and pick them up during the regular club hours, shown on the CONTACT page of the club website. Be sure to have your payment receipt, just in case.
